Clean the UV-cured finish

Dry dust with microfiber, or vacuum with a hardwood-safe brush, every day on a high-traffic kitchen. Salted boots need a spot clean before chloride crystals grind under a chair. Damp-clean about weekly with a manufacturer-approved hardwood cleaner. Never leave standing water. Never use a steam mop. Never build a wax film. Steam drives moisture through the seams and clouds the finish.

A longer clean starts at the edges. Vacuum first, apply the approved cleaner sparingly, and buff dry within 4 minutes per 100 square feet so the micro-bevel does not stay wet. Stock a neutral-pH hardwood cleaner from a flooring distributor. Several condominium corporations already discourage solvent-heavy sprays, and a bleach hybrid labelled for every surface is the wrong bottle.

If a pipe lets go, shut the intake, extract standing water within 120 minutes, and lift saturated rugs. Aim air movers across the planks, not into the seams. The engineered floor withstands a brief exposure better than laminate, and it still needs a moisture reading before furniture weighing over 150 lb goes back. Photograph cupping across successive mornings so the record is clear. Terra-cotta plant saucers trap condensation the finish dislikes. Move them.

Hold occupied rooms near 35–55% RH. Humidify when winter readings fall toward 20–30%. Dehumidify or cool the suite when muggy weeks push toward 60–70%. Check the reading. Refresh the felt when the season turns. That is the habit this page owns.
