Bought it elsewhere? We’ll install it.
A specialty showroom, a builder’s leftover stock, or oak you ordered yourself: if it is hardwood, we install it to the same standard as our own. We inspect the product before it goes down and tell you upfront if the subfloor or the material is wrong for the method.

Built for Toronto’s seasons
Winter heating often pulls indoor humidity to 20–30% RH. Summers can sit at 60–70%. A cross-ply core moves less than solid strip through that swing. Occupied rooms do best near 35–55% RH.
Works over concrete and radiant heat
Suitable for condo slabs and, where the manufacturer allows, in-floor heating. Nail-down needs plywood. Concrete usually takes glue-down or a floating floor.
Condo-board friendly
Pairs with approved acoustic underlay. We handle the board package, the elevator, and the certificate of insurance.
A real oak surface
The wear layer is European white oak at 3/4 inch overall thickness. Wear-layer depth for sanding is confirmed on the order, not guessed here. Engineered and solid.

Do you install flooring I bought somewhere else?
Yes, when the product is hardwood we can install. Tell us the brand, the type, the square footage, and send a photo of the box label. We inspect it and the subfloor before we commit to a method. Laminate and vinyl installation are not part of the published service list. Manufacturer warranties stay with the manufacturer. Our 5-year workmanship warranty covers the installation we do.
What types of flooring do you install?
Engineered hardwood: straight plank, herringbone, and chevron, by glue-down, floating, or nail-down. The same crews handle stairs and transitions, old-floor removal, subfloor preparation, moisture testing, on-site acclimation, and condo acoustic underlay when the building requires it.
How much does flooring installation cost in Toronto?
Supply of Floors Toronto engineered oak starts at $4 CAD per square foot. Installation is quoted by method and subfloor, not folded into that figure. Published planning bands, which are guidance and not a rate card, are floating $2–$3, glue-down, glue-assist, or nail-down $2.50–$4, and herringbone or chevron $4.50–$5.50 per square foot. Do you remove old floors and level the subfloor?
Yes, when the quote includes it. Removal and disposal are optional line items. Subfloor flatness is brought to the tolerance the install method needs, and concrete is moisture-tested before any glue-down.
Can you install hardwood in a condo? What about underlay approval?
Yes. Engineered hardwood is the usual hardwood specification for Toronto condominiums. It can be glued to concrete or floated over acoustic underlay. Floors Toronto handles the board package, elevator booking, and hallway protection. A certificate of insurance is issued on request within 24 hours. Solid hardwood cannot go on concrete.
How long does an installation take?
A typical schedule stacks sample and stain approval (often 1–3 weeks), condo board review when the building requires it (2–6 weeks), production lead time, acclimation of several days, install days that scale with area and pattern, and adhesive cure of several days after glue-down. How does stain matching work?
Stain matching is included when you place an engineered hardwood order. It is not a separate fee, and it is not offered as a standalone service before an order. Send a paint code, a photo, fabric, tile, or a piece of millwork. The stain is mixed on real European white oak. You approve the boards, and that batch is locked for the floor that gets installed.
What does your 5-year workmanship warranty cover?
A written 5-year workmanship warranty covers installations Floors Toronto completes. It does not replace the manufacturer’s finish warranty. If another contractor installs oak we supplied, workmanship sits with that contractor. Warranty page.
